Although it is generally said that adversity brings people together. On the contrary, it appears that the corona virus has sparked many martial issues. Couples are spending more time with one another, and realizing many aspects of each other that they would not have realized prior to the outbreak.

- Living apart for a year or more; or

In order to apply for divorce, you must prove all of the following:
- • You and your spouse are legally married under the law and the marriage is recognized in Canada;
- • Dissolution of the marriage;
- • Proof of residence for you or your spouse in the Canadian province or territory for at least a full year before applying for divorce.
